Day 11 of Hire Up Staffing’s 12 Days of Giving – Poverello House

Tis the season for giving back to causes that matter.  GSF Properties encouraged us to highlight The Poverello House as our 10th Day of Giving. Poverello House well known non-profit that provides three meals a day, 365 days a year to men, women and families along with services that improve people’s quality of life. These services include clothing distribution, emergency food bags, a medical clinic, the Men’s Resident Rehabilitation program, temporary overnight shelter for men and women, and social services for individuals seeking to end their homelessness situation. Their philosophy is something that all of use should go by: Listen with compassion, give with a warm heart and a smile.

The great thing about this charity is that in is on going and has been since the 60’s. Every single day out of every year, this non-profit help as many people as they can. This is exactly why Poverello House needs your support. GSF Properties is holding a coat drive at their location 7355 N Palm Ave #105, Fresno, CA 93711. If you would like to drop a coat off, please do so to the address listed above. This is just one of the many ways you can help the Poverello. The others include:

Volunteering

• Serving meals to the homeless at breakfast, lunch or dinner
• Helping with food preparation, such as cutting meat and vegetables
• Sorting food items
• Assembling bag dinners
• Helping clean the kitchen and dining room
• Picking up trash on the ground around the property
• Gardening, weeding, pruning, and planting
• Sorting clothing and canned food items in our warehouse
• Assisting with Naomi’s House chores and activities
• Special events and projects as needed
