Fresno manufacturing company has an immediate need for a Shop Assistant. This is a Temp to Hire position and pay is $14 per hour.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and able to use hand and power tools in addition to the skills below:
- Work well in a team environment.
- Computer literacy w/ databases, word processing, spreadsheets.
- Excellent organizational and communications skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment and with external partners.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
- Unloads and warehouses machinery, crates and pallets using a lift truck or other means.
- Performs receiving operations on incoming parts and equipment.
- Prepares equipment and components for shipping in boxes and crates.
- Assembles crates and loads them with prepared equipment.
- Loads crates and equipment onto freight carriers using a lift truck or pallet jack.
- Disassembles, cleans and inspects used machinery and components.
- Drives to local vendors to deliver and pick up parts.
- Looks up information on computerized drawing system.
- Stocks used and reconditioned parts in shelves and racks.
- Assembles kits of used components and reconditioned parts according to parts lists.
- Maintains Kanban inventory as directed.
- Maintains cleanliness of work areas.
